Gonna try and share some of the best posts we see our friends put out on in the interweb. Have a tip on an awesome post? Email us at RemixReport@Gmail.com !
Here’s a few recent ones…
DJ Enrie on Twitter (Today) : ”If you remix, make a bootleg, mashup or edit a track, I won’t be mad if you keep the name of the ACTUAL ARTIST in the mp3 tag. Thanks!”
– This is obviously a subject we’ve touched on a few times in the past, and trust me, we’re gonna discuss this much more real soon!
DJ Sizzahandz on Facebook (August 18th): ” ’What’s Good Homie’ has officially become ‘Can I Have’ in FB language. .”
– So true. Don’t forget, it’s cool to ask for favors from friends, but you should feel a little weird when the only time you contact someone is to ask for something.
DJ Bedtime on Facebook (August 15th): “Always makes me laugh a little when a new dj shops record pools based on price. “
– Shout out to all our friends at Dj City, Direct Music Service, and Bar Bangerz! This post did make me laugh a little because it is something I do hear from younger DJs from time to time. Obviously, if you look at Digital Record Pool prices compared to what Vinyl singles cost, pools today are a steal. But even besides that, they are great value any other way you look at it (Money the pool costs per song you get/Money the pool costs per what you get paid per gig/Etc.) Anyway you view this, all these pools are AMAZING deals for what you get in return. Personally, I would never consider money when I buy music. I’m not that baller or anything, but I just can’t justify worrying about an amount that small compared to how happy I am to find a good song to play out.
